Our commercial low voltage services

Use this overview to find the right installation package. Each service page explains its scope, planning requirements and specialist handoffs in more detail. Need several services? Describe the complete project in one inquiry rather than sending the same plans four times.

Blue data cables connected to a commercial patch panel

Network infrastructure

Commercial structured cabling

Start here for Cat6 and fiber infrastructure, data outlets, patch panels and identified cable runs. We review pathways, terminations and agreed testing or closeout records for new construction, tenant improvements and changes to existing buildings.

Useful starting information: cable types, outlet or device counts, equipment-room locations and required handover records.

Wall-mounted access-control reader

Door-system infrastructure

Access-control wiring

Start here for reader and door-device cabling, control panels and specified lock interfaces. The field package needs clear coordination with the security provider, door-hardware team and other responsible trades.

Useful starting information: door schedule, approved devices, pathways and who supplies or configures each system component.

Commercial control panels and building automation equipment

Building automation

BAS controls wiring

Start here for building automation system (BAS) field cabling, panel connections, sensors, actuators and assigned checkout assistance. The controls integrator retains responsibility for programming and system operation within its separate scope.

Useful starting information: controls drawings, point list, equipment schedule and required installation records.

Ceiling-mounted dome security camera

Surveillance infrastructure

Security camera cabling

Start here for camera cable runs, supports, terminations and labeled connections to approved locations. Coordinate equipment supply, recording, remote access and monitoring with the responsible security and IT providers.

Useful starting information: approved camera locations, selected equipment, cable requirements and destination connections.

The images illustrate service types; they are not a portfolio of completed TACS projects. Final scope and required authorizations must be confirmed before work is accepted.

Start with the project—not the terminology

Which installation scope fits?

You do not need to know every technical term to start a conversation. Match the work you are planning to the closest service, then identify the other systems or trades that need to connect with it.

Typical requests and the service page to review
You are planning… Start here Bring to the review
Office data drops or cable additions Structured cabling Floor plans, cable types and termination locations
Wiring for controlled entrances Access-control wiring Door schedule and assigned hardware responsibilities
Connections for building controls BAS controls wiring Controls drawings, point list and integrator contact
New or relocated camera cable runs Camera cabling Approved camera locations and system-provider requirements

Combining scopes? Choose the primary service in the form and list the additional work in your message. We review interfaces, shared pathways and material responsibilities together. A combined inquiry is not a promise that every requested specialist service is included.

Practical field support

Low voltage installation services with clear handoffs

Whether the request comes from a general contractor, a systems provider or a facility team, a useful proposal should explain the installation—not just a total price. We review the work around three questions.

  1. What will be installed?

Identify the current drawings, quantities, cable specifications and device locations. Clarify equipment supply, existing infrastructure and requested additions. Include the project address, target schedule and bid deadline when relevant.

  2. Who owns each interface?

Assign pathway work, power, hardware connections, software and system setup. For occupied sites, agree on access and changeover arrangements. Installation work should follow approved responsibilities rather than assume another trade will complete a missing connection.

  3. What completes the handover?

Specify labeling, test records, cleanup, punch-list work and marked-up installation documents during estimating. Distinguish completion of the wiring package from final acceptance of a programmed, configured or independently commissioned system.

Based in Dallas, TACS reviews commercial work in Dallas, Fort Worth, Plano, Frisco, Allen and nearby communities. Location, travel and crew availability are confirmed for each project. Our service area is not a list of separate offices.

Questions about our commercial low voltage services

Start with the closest service page or tell us what you are trying to install. The accepted proposal—not this overview—defines the work and deliverables for your project.

Can one inquiry include cabling, access control and BAS work?

Yes. Select the primary scope and list the other work in your message. Include the full authorized plan package and identify the responsible systems providers. TACS will review the requested field installation, the interfaces between scopes and any items that need a separate qualified provider.

Do these services include programming, monitoring or HVAC repair?

Not automatically. The current offering described here is commercial field installation and infrastructure support. Software, credential administration, recording, monitoring, mechanical HVAC repair and independent commissioning are separate responsibilities. Do not assume that a wiring proposal includes them.

What about fire-alarm or other regulated system work?

Describe the proposed work for a separate scope review. This page does not offer independent fire-alarm design, inspection or certification. Applicable company and individual authorizations, required disclosures and delivery arrangements must be confirmed for regulated work; the description “low voltage” does not establish an exemption.

Can we begin without a complete set of plans?

Yes. Use Request a Quote and describe the work, project location and timing. Existing photographs or a written scope can help start the discussion, but more information may be needed before a price or schedule is confirmed. Use Submit Plans when an authorized document package is available.

Which page should I use for a detailed service question?

The four service pages explain installation boundaries and the information needed for estimating. Use Contact TACS for a general inquiry, or use the form below to keep your selected service with the request. For employment interest, use our separate careers page .

One project. A clearer starting point.

Tell us which services your building needs.

Request a scope review for a single installation or a combined commercial package. Choose the primary service, describe the other work and share your target dates. A preliminary inquiry does not require drawings.

Choose Submit Plans to provide a project name, bid information and an authorized PDF or sharing link. Requested pricing and dates are reviewed rather than automatically accepted.

The form saves the inquiry and requests a notification to the recipients configured by TACS. A submission receipt does not confirm a quote, booking or scope acceptance. Do not use this form for an emergency.

For help with an existing request, use Contact TACS. Looking for work? Send your introduction through Careers at TACS instead.

How can we help?

Start with a description. No attachment is needed for an initial inquiry.

For a non-project inquiry, enter your city.

A receipt confirms submission only—not a quote, installation date, project acceptance or agreement to meet a bid deadline.
